J. Ethan Hopper was born in 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska. Shortly after Ethan’s birth his family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was raised and educated. Ethan’s interest in art appeared early. Alongside his high school instructor and mentor, Michael Jones, his talent blossomed. Ethan produced works in painting, drawing and sculpture. In 2008 Ethan and classmate Victoria Brady produced a large collaborative painting of the city of Tulsa reflected in the Arkansas River that won best of show in Tulsa’s Mayfest Student Gallery.
